Linger selected for the 3rd Vancouver Singapore Film Festival 2010

Extremely happy to announce that Linger is selected for the 3rd Annual Vancouver Singapore Film Festival, which will be held at the Vancouver International Film Centre in downtown Vancouver on September 17 & 18.

The festival will showcase the best and most recent in Singapore cinema, bringing the Singapore film industry to the forefront in Vancouver.

Again, I want to say a big thank you to all the cast, crew (both pre-prep, production & post), organizations, companies, location owners, friends, friends of friends and family for being involved in this film and making it possible. As with all filmmaking, there are difficult times, but now I am just very glad and honoured that everyone’s hard work and contribution on Linger can be acknowledged by audiences in Vancouver too.

You can find out more about VSFF here and Linger will be feature in the “Singapore Shorts” session on the closing night.

Many thanks to Festival Director Jeannine Sheares and the rest of the VSFF team 🙂

Linger awarded Best Film at Harold’s Shorts

Linger was judged to be the best film at Harold’s Shorts on 24 August 2010! The guest judge for that night was Nick Tate and other films screened that night included:

David Sander – Man Conquers Space Teaser 3
Ben McLean – The Day My Life Changed
Scott Herford – Baz
Bryan Moses – TBA
Greg Woodland – Green

It was a great pleasure to do a live Skype video call from Singapore to Sydney so that I could be involved in the Q&A session and also address the audiences directly. So I sort of “attended” the screening without physically being there! It was also fun interacting with host Mark Leonard and guest judge Nick Tate and getting feedback/comments about the film!

Finally many thanks to Matthew Edmond, Seeing Things Productions – Centre Video Production and the rest of the Harold’s Shorts team for putting this wonderful event together!
